God has a plan for each of our lives and the things that happen in our lives sometimes we dont understand but everything has a purpose. My cancer story begins in 2014, um, I found several lumps on my breast, then in 2015 we first came to Oasis and the reason we came here is a friend had shared a video with us and I can only remember one scene in the video. And that was an older lady sitting on a couch saying "you cant heal cancer with poison" so I knew I wanted an alternative route, something that wasnt, um, bad for my health.
Some of the first things i did was cut out sugar, um, white flour, took a lot of superfoods, read a lot of cancer docuseries. But then my husband said "we should really be somewhere where we know whether what we are doing is working" and we chose to come here. I took the treatments in 2015. In 2016 I was clear of cancer. And then in 2019, um, the cancer had returned. And because of a lot of things happening in our lives I didnt come here until now which is 2021. Is everything perfect here? No. But here are some of the reasons that we came back. Number one, when we call and ask if we can come, usually in two or three days everything will be arranged and we can come. It's like one big family. We're not wearing gowns all the time, we wear our regular clothes. There's a treatment room where we do a lot of our infusions. And at the same time we can be listening to the Doctors telling us why things work, how they work.
The Doctors have committed themselves to not giving any treatment to their patients that they would not give to themselves or their family. One of the highlights is going down to the dining room and we can spend an hour and a half to two hours each meal, um, enjoying food thats been prepared for us thats cancer-fighting foods. And also sharing our stories which is very healing. The most important thing is the spiritual atmosphere here. They confess that they are not the healer, Jesus is the healer, He is their lead Doctor and they are working under him.
A really special time we had this time was Wednesday evening we had an outdoor service, like a praise and worship service, and then the Doctor and the pastor came around and laid hands and prayed on whoever wanted to. And then the song was sung "Because He Lives, I Can Face Tomorrow". And so, living in that kind of atmosphere for a couple of weeks is just really healing.
